World famous Beatles Story visitor attraction to double in size!

The improvements, which will greatly enhance Liverpool’s tourism product, are expected to open in spring 2008 to coincide with the city’s year as European Capital of Culture.

Following on from two years of record growth in visitor numbers, the Beatles Story now anticipates significantly greater growth in the next few years.

The planned expansion will include:

  • ‘Going Solo’ – a new gallery dedicated to the solo careers of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
  • A “hands-on” interactive Discovery Zone – this is part of the Beatles Story’s commitment to life-long learning and will greatly enhance the visitor experience for both school groups and families.
  • A “family friendly” version of the Living History audio tour.
  • A new special exhibition space to host themed changing exhibitions throughout the year.
  • A specially branded Starbucks Café and relaxation area to complete the experience.
  • Improved orientation area with enhanced group facilities.
  • The new Fab4Store gift shop.

Jerry Goldman, Director of the Beatles Story, commented: “We are delighted to announce the new developments at our multiaward winning attraction.

The Beatles Story wholeheartedly supports Liverpool’s Capital of Culture status and we look forward to welcoming more visitors from across the globe.

Providing translated versions of our Living History audio guide in seven languages has demonstrated the fantastic welcome we offer overseas visitors – a welcome that is unique in both Liverpool and the entire UK.”
