So what a month February’s been, non-stop partying in a bid to suss out the nightlife in central Liverpool!
This is my first column for Local Xtra about the thriving nightlife in the city and I’ve chosen to focus on Mosquito, situated on Victoria Street because its one of the city’s most prestigious venues.
During all of my nights out I regularly end up in there and it never fails to surprise me for it’s upbeat atmosphere and great vibe even when other popular venues have failed to impress.
Mosquito is an exclusive hangout with the service to match. The host and door team are always accommodating and helpful. Once inside the bar, the team is on hand to guide you through the extensive cocktail menu, which always helps when you’ve already had a cocktail or two and can hardly see it!
With the new uber night on Thursday’s in addition to the regular Friday and Saturday offering March looks set to be another exciting month for Mosquito.
What else can you look forward to this month?
Society: With so much going on on the Saturday before Easter, we all know its going to be yet another lockout. Jon Hewitt will be working himself through all the live PAs so why go to Ibiza when you can get it on your own doorstep in Duke Street.
Albert Dock: With the new Echo Arena open for us to see all our favourite acts I can see this place being a seven night hit instead of a one night wonder.
Rachel Molloy’s Hair and Beauty Launch: This is one of the parties I’ll be making the effort for. She’s having a masquerade ball in the Devonshire House Hotel, which I can’t wait for, all her hard work and planning will be so worthwhile so Happy Birthday Rach and I’ll be there for you to help you party the night away.
What’s happening in April???
I’m going to be hitting Allerton Road so if you’re out and about pop over to say hello and the photographer will take some pictures of you to go in next months issue. I have found myself planning to attend my usual haunt Mosquito, and we also have the races coming up which I’m going to go to on the Thursday.
The Living Room also has its breakfast menu now so get your orders in ASAP.
Other things to look out for:
Fashion Rocks: With so much going on around the city this year were taking Fashion Rocks Liverpool to another level with the help of a few friends were turning it into a festival of fashion so watch this space!!!
I also have a weekly blog on the Local Xtra website which is updated weekly so make sure that you check it out.
Party on people!!!
