On a recent visit to view the Bank of Ireland's new Liverpool offices at 20 Chapel Street the Bank's Chief Executive of Business Banking, David McGowan, spoke out on how 20 Chapel Street is in his view by far the best business premises anywhere in Liverpool.

McGowan's visit comes following the Bank's decision to take the entire 13th floor of Rumford Investment's award winning building for the relocation of its Liverpool office, which is currently based in Castle Chambers on Castle Street, Liverpool.

Speaking about their choice of office location, David McGowan, Chief Executive of the Bank of Ireland's U.K. Business Banking division said:

"When we were looking for our new premises we obviously spent a long time weighing up all of the options and alternatives in terms of business accommodation within the City.

We quickly came to the conclusion that everything about 20 Chapel Street - from the perfect location within the City's business district and the high quality of the accommodation through to the outstanding views - that will undoubtedly inspire everyone working here - meant that it was really the only choice for us in Liverpool."

The Bank of Ireland is currently one of a number of high profile companies that has chosen to take space within 20 Chapel Street, including Panmure Gordon, Ernst & Young, and architect Broadway Malyan and is due to move into its new premises mid March 2008 following a two month fit out that is currently underway.

The new office will be staffed by approximately 30 specialised business banking and support staff.

Situated on the waterfront on Liverpool's World Heritage Site, Rumford Investment's 16 storey 20 Chapel Street tower was completed in 2007 and supplies the City with 150,000 sq ft of high quality, Grade A office space.
