Myself and my partner stayed at the Sir Thomas Hotel in the middle of May. The double room was cosy but very basic and not as glamorous as I had expected but the evening meal in the restaurant certainly made up for what the decor in the bedroom lacked. It was excellent.
I had baked halibut with a pea, tarragon and pistachio gratin for main whilst my partner opted for the red snapper in a tomato and coriander broth (divine he tells me). I then engaged in a glorious sticky toffee pudding with custard for dessert whilst he went for the savoury option of cheese and crackers which I'm told filled his hunger gap nicely. The waitress was very attentive throughout the meal and the ambience within the restaurant was very relaxing and pleasant.
I have to say that the hotel itself is very central to most of everything a visitor would like to see when they visit the city and the staff couldn't do enough to help you. I would recommend anyone who is visiting Liverpool to stay at this hotel.
