Liverpool FC manager Rafael Benitez and his wife Montse are to host a charity dinner in aid of Hoylake Cottage.
Tickets are selling fast for the exclusive event on Thursday 8 May, which will be attended by many of the club's first team stars.
Guest speaker is Sir Geoff Hurst, famous for scoring a hat-trick for England in their victorious World Cup in 1966.
Montse Benitez is a member of Hoylake Cottage's fundraising committee, which is behind a £1.5 million appeal to build a new day care centre for older people.
Mrs Benitez said: "Older people deserve to be cared for in the very best surroundings and at Hoylake Cottage there is an urgent need to improve the facilities. I hope our charity dinner will not only raise funds but will also increase awareness of this very worthwhile appeal."
Tickets for the event are selling at £850 for a table of ten, plus a limited number of tables at £1400 which include a VIP reception with Mr and Mrs Benitez and the players before the dinner.
