TITANIC ANNIVERSARY
Special events at Merseyside Maritime Museum
Next week (15th April) sees the 96th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, a tragedy that continues to fascinate with its tales of heroism and misfortune. The Liverpool-registered liner became probably the most famous shipwreck in seafaring history when she was sunk by an iceberg on her maiden voyage on April 14, 1912.
A series of events linked to the recently opened Titanic exhibition will take place at Merseyside Maritime Museum throughout April.

- A Titanic tragedy is a family role play that tells the story of Emily Broughton Williams sailing first class on the Titanic with her maid Rose. Free sessions on April 19 at, 1400, 1500 and 1600 hours.
- Spotlight on the Titanic looks at the facts and myths that surround the famous ship. Free sessions on April 14 1330, 1400, 1430 and 1530 hours, April 21 1400 hours and April 28 1400 hours.
- Titanic – The quartermaster’s story is a fascinating role play telling the story of Robert Hichins who was at the wheel when the Titanic hit the iceberg. Free sessions on May 31 1330, 1430 and 1530 hours.
